"Mural"by ~RoseMiles

Traditional Art / Paintings / Surreal

A mural a painted for my senior year in high school, it was inspired by Michelangelo's fresco, "The Creation of Adam" in the Sistine Chapel. Only my version doesn't portray the idea of God being a being we create in our minds. I tried to portray the thought that art and education can make someone live more than religion. As you can see, I was also inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa", Edvard Munch's "The Scream", Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night", Rumiko Takahashi's "Ranma 1/2", Piet Mondrian's "Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow" and Japanese block prints.
